Larval Development

When the tadpole shrimps come out of the egg they have three pairs of limbs known as antennules, antennae and mandibles. After three hours from this phase, the trunk segments will start improving and will attain a definition. Telson also begins to form in this phase. After about fifteen hours the larva will attain the major characteristics of the adult form. The miniature of the tadpole shrimps will almost appear as an adult after 24 hours of hatching, and after 2 days they would have taken the complete appearance of the adult form.
